Things to Think about

Food

• Where will your new pet eat?

• Pick out a water bowl and food bowl

• What type of food will you feed your new pet?

Sleep

• Will your pet have their own bed to hang out during the day

• Will it sleep on the big bed with you? If so, how will s/he get up and down?

Play

What kinds of toys will your dog play with? If they're a chewer, plastic toys might not be a good idea
Don't give them stuffed animals that are not meant for pets--children's toys have been treated with fire retardant that can be dangerous for dogs

Potty

• Where will the dog potty?

Walks

• Do you go on walks? If the dog is older, will you push it in a cart?
